UBM Fashion Supports Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2018
In the mist of political shifts and challenges, UBM Fashion is proud to support organizations who support social causes beyond fashion.
On April 11th, Jeffrey Fashion Cares held its annual LGBTQ charity fundraiser at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York, celebrating the night with fashion runway presentations, a live auction and inspirational speeches. UBM Fashion participated as a silver sponsor among contributions by fashion headliners Nordstrom, Saint Laurent, Coach the CFDA and more.
Jeffrey Fashion cares was founded 15 years ago by fashion industry veteran Jeffery Kalinsky, who currently serves as Vice President & Designer Fashion Director at Nordstrom.
Beneficiaries for the night included the Elton John AIDS foundation, Heterick-Martin Institute, and Lambda Legal. The fundraiser attracts an exceptional list of high-profile fashion designers, celebrities and influencers who come together to raise awareness and resources for the LGBTQ community. Special appearances by Diane Von Furstenberg, Eva Zuckerman, Steven Kolb, were among the crowd favorites along with the night's special host Judith Light.
The event has raised approximately $7 million since its launch and has become wholesomely built by volunteers supporting the events coordination. Among volunteers were UBM Fashion staff, while others attended and hosted clients as their VIP guests.
